A crazy lot of events coming up next week, including a zine release party for Kontrær III (tomorrow), Dragkaos workshop (Tuesday), AMOK art auction (Thursday) where you can both sell and buy works, and DUPER-NOISE 2026 coming to AMOK (weekend).

Tue 1/9 14:00-18:00: Dragkaos

Show up 1. of September at amok from 14-18 for the first ever diy drag chaos meeting! The meeting is for everyone, who wants to try drag, whether you dream of being a drag creature, a drag king or a drag queen or all of the above. You are also very welcome, if you don’t want to do drag yourself, but would like to contribute with skills like sewing costumes, doing drag makeup or helping with dance and performance stuff. No experience is necessary, it is totally diy and chaos. At the first meeting we will talk about how we can organise the group and how each of us envisions diy drag chaos practically.

Kom til første møde i diy drag kaos den 1. september kl 14 på amok! Mødet er for alle, der har lyst til at prøve drag, uanset om du drømmer om at være et drag creature, en drag king eller en drag queen eller alle tre. Du er også meget velkommen, hvis du ikke vil lave drag selv, men ønsker at bidrage med skills som at sy kostumer, lave drag make-up eller at hjælpe med dans og performance. Ingen erfaring er nødvendig, det er totalt diy og kaos. Til første møde vil vi tale om hvordan vi organiserer os som gruppe og hvordan vi hver især forestiller os diy drag kaos i praksis.

Art auction at amok!

Anyone can submit a piece (or more) to sell.

Amok takes 10% of the sale price - or a higher number if you want to donate it to this incredibly sweet volunteer-run struggling arts platform.

It's during FESTUGE, so we expect a whole bunch of people we've never seen before to come and drop big $$$.

All starting bids are 10kr. Why, you might ask? Our experience is that low starting prices invite bids, and once someone has bid on something they get attached, and they keep bidding. If the starting bid is too high, no one bids and things don't sell.
There is no guarantee your piece will sell for more than 10kr, or sell at all.
Amok will be open for you to drop off pieces at AMOK, Rosenkrantzgade 1b on 31/8, 1/9, 2/9, or 3/9.
If your piece(s) don't sell, you must pick them up after the auction.
